About Me
Is he a dog? Is he a rat? We just can’t tell!! Ratatouille came to SNIPSA from Bexar County in desperate need of some TLC. He arrived with little to no fur, which is how he earned his rat-like name. The cause for his hair loss was demodex mange, a non-contagious mange that has been quickly cleared up with a dose of Nexgard and weekly medicated baths. Now, his hair has mostly grown back and he is once again resembling a normal, healthy pup!
Ratatouille has been through a lot, but it’s clear he is ready to love again. Despite being a little wary upon arrival, he has come out of his shell very quickly in his foster home. So far, we’ve learned that he enjoys exploring in the backyard, snuggling up on soft pillows and playing with other canines. He is friendly with humans and have even proved himself to be tolerant of children. Plus, he has just about mastered his potty training! Ratatouille is sure to stay on the smaller side, being a Chihuahua mix. Due to his portable size, Ratatouille will fit into just about any home and will also be able to accompany you on all of your trips around town. Chihuahuas are generally great family dogs that require a minimum of attention and exercise to keep them happy. So, if you’re looking for the perfect pipsqueak to keep you company, consider adopting this RAT from SNIPSA!
