About Me
Nothing beats a classic bowl of cereal to start your day! We like to kick off our mornings with some good ole’ Captain Crunch. Found wandering the streets with a pack of dogs, Captain Crunch was picked up by Animal Care Services. Only hours away from being euthanized, SNIPSA was able to save Captain Crunch from death row and provide him a second chance at life. Captain Crunch is a shy boy who is trying his best to come out of his shell. He has already made vast improvements since his first day, so we are confident he will flourish once comfortable in his forever home. Once terrified of walking on a leash, Captain now trots happily next to you as he sniffs all the wonderful smells that lie in the grass. Due to his background of running amongst a pack he LOVES other animals, so he might benefit from a home with another canine companion. Though he appears timid with new humans at first, it does not take him long to recognize a trusting hand. He’s quick to show some love and offer a few kisses after he receives an ear scratch or a belly rub himself. Douglas is one happy-go-lucky pup hailing from Animal Care Services in San Antonio. This boy is the last one left from his litter, who has no problem hanging with the big dogs at his foster home, and likes cats, too! He is nearing perfection with his potty training and crate well at night as long as he gets his nightly “cookie” before bed. He is incredibly lovable and will be difficult to give up, according to his foster mom! Douglas is hilarious and spunky, with puppy antics that will keep you on your toes. One of his favorite games, for example, is stealing a shoe and making a run for it. Despite his mischievous nature, this boy does correct quickly with a firm “no.” He also knows “potty” during outside time, and recalls with “pup-pups, come!” This smartie pants is incredibly food motivated, too, so he is bound to master tons of other commands by adulthood. He isn’t one to stray far from his people and has a loyal, eager-to-please personality. In the evenings, he enjoys cuddling with his sister and will whistle the night away. So, if you’re looking for a rescue who is sweeter than sap, add this pine pup to your pack!🐶🐾❤️

✨ BALLET UPDATE ✨
Our favorite little dancer is doing so much better! 🩰🐾 Ballet has made leaps and bounds since her first day at SNIPSA. It’s clear that she is feeling much more herself. Over the past two weeks, her personality has slowly revealed itself to be curious, spunky, funny and affectionate. Since she is being fostered by our adoption coordinator, Ballet has spent many days at the office making friends. She loves to make her rounds for attention and will visit every single staff member when she’s here. Ballet has even shown us that she has a voice, as she barked at another dog for the first time last week!
Tomorrow, our fabulous Frenchie will finally be ready to go home to her new family. Her adopter has been patiently awaiting this special day and has visited this pup several times since meeting her. Ballet has a whole new life lying just ahead. Three cheers to second chances! 💓🥂
