Tiny but mighty, Gidget is a 5.8-pound bundle of courage. Initially spotted with her former housemate, Chicken, Gidget found herself alone after losing her owner. In an attempt to find help, she wandered out of her yard and was unfortunately struck by a car. With the help of concerned neighbors and a rescue team, Gidget made her way safe and sound into the SNIPSA program.
Gidget is currently recovering from a fractured pelvis, but she isn’t letting that slow her down for long. This pint-sized Yorkie mix is a true survivor who just wants to feel safe again. We are keeping her cozy and monitoring her healing process with dedicated care. Despite everything she’s been through, Gidget is already learning that the world can be a kind, gentle place. She has already discovered the comforts of a pile of blankets and scratches from her foster mama. Gidget is definitely a social dog and always wants to be with her people or other pets, even with limited mobility. She is great with the larger dog in her foster home and is even sweet with their kitty cats.
