Jack and Jill went up the hill and found themselves at the pound! Just like the nursery rhyme, these two kiddos recently got into a bit of trouble. Both dogs were found wandering around the streets, with no collar or microchip to tie them to an owner. Due to a lack of space and resources at the city shelter, they were slated for euthanasia. And that’s where SNIPSA stepped in! After seeing ACS’s plea for help, we decided to take these two into our program. They’ve been chipped, fixed and vetted—and may have a happy ending after all!
Jack was a little timid upon arrival, but quickly revealed himself to be a sweetheart. After taking a night to decompress, he found his calling as a lap dog the next morning. He finds comfort in snuggling up to our vet tech and watching her work on her computer. That said, at five months old, this boy is definitely still a puppy. It’s safe to say he values his playtime just as much as cuddles! Jack enjoys the company of other dogs and would make a fun addition to your pack. Given some love, training and patience, he will surely grow into a rewarding companion. Apply to meet Jack today!

Initially rescued off the streets by @sanantonioacs, these two were recently transferred to SNIPSA. They have been ravaged by nasty bugs — both on their skin and inside of their little bodies.
SNIPSA started them off with a dose of Bravecto to kill the sarcoptic mange mites, and a dewormer to flush out the internal parasites. 🚫🦟🪱 Over the next few weeks, they will also be receiving medicated baths and some much-needed love.

It is with a heart of sadness we say goodbye to our sweet Lady who finally lost her battle with a crummy form of cancer. 🥲 She lived a pampered and well-loved life while under SNIPSA’s wings and exceeded our expectations. We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to her team of foster warriors (Courtney, Patti, Stacey, Ashleigh & Jamie) that cared for her throughout her 11 months with us. And to the devoted medical staff with Animal Cancer Center, Dr. Meredith Esterline, and our amazing veterinary technician, Tami, who made herself available day or night for this precious rescue. It truly takes special heroes willing to take on a hospice dog knowing time is limited. You loved her well, we loved her well, and now our dearest Ladybug may rest in heaven. ✝️👼🪽🐾
