Well, we’ve recently taken in an unconventional family of our own here at SNIPSA. Poppy and Rosemary were found together with a shared litter of eight puppies. We don’t know whose is whose, but these ladies don’t seem to care. They share equal responsibility in nursing, cleaning and protecting their little ones! Their maternal nature is a true testament to their loving and sweet temperament. Just like these girls have stuck together, they will stick by your side. With every interaction, Poppy and Rosemary are sure to show you affection with kisses and an eagerness to be near. These two ladies are already picking up how to walk on a leash after only a couple of days, so they’re sure to master the rest of their household manners in no time! The best part is they’re already potty trained! That’s right, these girls know how to keep their space nice and neat. As Chihuahua mixes, these two will stay on the smaller side. Thankfully, they’re already fully grown – so there won’t be any surprises! Love should be multiplied, not divided. So, why not add some love into your life and meet one of these amazing girls today!

Initially rescued off the streets by @sanantonioacs, these two were recently transferred to SNIPSA. They have been ravaged by nasty bugs — both on their skin and inside of their little bodies.
SNIPSA started them off with a dose of Bravecto to kill the sarcoptic mange mites, and a dewormer to flush out the internal parasites. 🚫🦟🪱 Over the next few weeks, they will also be receiving medicated baths and some much-needed love.

It is with a heart of sadness we say goodbye to our sweet Lady who finally lost her battle with a crummy form of cancer. 🥲 She lived a pampered and well-loved life while under SNIPSA’s wings and exceeded our expectations. We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to her team of foster warriors (Courtney, Patti, Stacey, Ashleigh & Jamie) that cared for her throughout her 11 months with us. And to the devoted medical staff with Animal Cancer Center, Dr. Meredith Esterline, and our amazing veterinary technician, Tami, who made herself available day or night for this precious rescue. It truly takes special heroes willing to take on a hospice dog knowing time is limited. You loved her well, we loved her well, and now our dearest Ladybug may rest in heaven. ✝️👼🪽🐾
