About Me
Caw Caww! Chirp Chirp! What’s that sound? It’s the Bird Litter! Falcon, Raven and Night Owl are searching for a nest to settle down in for the winter. Hailing from Animal Care Services, these little ones have been bottle-raised since the ripe age of two weeks old. Since they’ve grown up primarily around humans, they are well-socialized and as confident as can be. Curious, playful, goofy and snuggly are just a few of the words that come to mind when describing them! They love to rough and tumble together, cuddle up in puppy piles and seek attention from humans. These kiddos are believed to be of the Doberman Pinscer descent given their unique black and brown markings. Dobies make excellent family pets as they are known for their loyalty and intelligence. Historically, they were used as guard dogs, police dogs and even messenger dogs. They are medium to high energy by nature, so they will need regular exercise to keep them out of trouble. Beep-beep, is that my bestie in a rescue??? 🚙🐾 We are just amazed that a dog like Saweetie was found dumped on the streets of Windcrest. A happy, go-lucky pup with unlimited affection, this girl is an office favorite. Saweetie has a fun and playful spirit according to her foster, and she loves the outdoors, relishing those moments when she gets to run and play outside. She would make the perfect companion for someone with children, other pets or an active lifestyle! 💞
Saweetie has great manners too, having already mastered her leash/potty/crate training. While she sleeps in her crate at night without complaint, she definitely prefers up cuddling up next to her loved ones on the bed or the couch. 🛋️This smart girl has also learned many basic commands such as “sit,” “wait,” “okay,” “go potty (outside),” “inside,” “go crate” and “no.” Overall, Saweetie lives up to her name as a well-rounded, SWEET dog. In light of #GivingTuesday, we can`t help ourselves but to highlight a little story. ❤️🩹 Meet our beloved Gilligan, who we recently rescued from a rural shelter. This large fluffball was born with terrible hips. Though he tries to run and keep up with the other dogs in the play yard, he is clearly uncomfortable, hopping more like a rabbit than running like a dog. Radiographs showed this young fellow has significant hip dysplasia, and he will need surgery to make his life better. With two FHO`s (femoral head osteotomy) on the horizon, we are determined to provide the best quality life for him. Every pet in our adoption program is treated like our very own. We are in it to win it for the animals!!!! 🐾
