About Me
Best buddies? Soul sisters? Who knows!? These lovely ladies took a ride together to SNIPSA and have been inseparable ever since! Named after two besties at the office, Roxy and Liz are some fun and friendly mutts from Hondo, Texas. We estimate them to be about eight weeks old, so they are super young and ready to soak up all of the training they can. While we won’t know their exact breed without a DNA test, these two are speculated to be Beagle/Chihuahua mixes. They will likely stay small to medium-sized and are relatively playful, making them excellent options for apartments, condos or homes with children. You’ll just want to make sure any kiddos in your household know how to play nicely with a new puppy! This breed mix is typically known to be sturdy, energetic, funny and social by nature. It goes without saying that either one of these girls is sure to provide you with years of love and loyalty. Douglas is one happy-go-lucky pup hailing from Animal Care Services in San Antonio. This boy is the last one left from his litter, who has no problem hanging with the big dogs at his foster home, and likes cats, too! He is nearing perfection with his potty training and crate well at night as long as he gets his nightly “cookie” before bed. He is incredibly lovable and will be difficult to give up, according to his foster mom! Douglas is hilarious and spunky, with puppy antics that will keep you on your toes. One of his favorite games, for example, is stealing a shoe and making a run for it. Despite his mischievous nature, this boy does correct quickly with a firm “no.” He also knows “potty” during outside time, and recalls with “pup-pups, come!” This smartie pants is incredibly food motivated, too, so he is bound to master tons of other commands by adulthood. He isn’t one to stray far from his people and has a loyal, eager-to-please personality. In the evenings, he enjoys cuddling with his sister and will whistle the night away. So, if you’re looking for a rescue who is sweeter than sap, add this pine pup to your pack!🐶🐾❤️

✨ BALLET UPDATE ✨
Our favorite little dancer is doing so much better! 🩰🐾 Ballet has made leaps and bounds since her first day at SNIPSA. It’s clear that she is feeling much more herself. Over the past two weeks, her personality has slowly revealed itself to be curious, spunky, funny and affectionate. Since she is being fostered by our adoption coordinator, Ballet has spent many days at the office making friends. She loves to make her rounds for attention and will visit every single staff member when she’s here. Ballet has even shown us that she has a voice, as she barked at another dog for the first time last week!
Tomorrow, our fabulous Frenchie will finally be ready to go home to her new family. Her adopter has been patiently awaiting this special day and has visited this pup several times since meeting her. Ballet has a whole new life lying just ahead. Three cheers to second chances! 💓🥂
