Our largest fundraiser of the year is approaching faster than a red-hot pair of roller skates! Proceeds from all Race efforts support SNIPSA’s spay/neuter outreach in the community and provide veterinary care for rescue animals. Register, sponsor the race, or volunteer to help further SNIPSA’s life-saving mission!
Adult cats often get overlooked in favor of kittens, but they have just as much love (and way less chaos) to offer.
Here are 3 reasons to adopt an adult cat:
1. What you see is what you get: No surprises. You’ll know exactly what kind of companion you’re bringing home.
2. They’re lower maintenance: Older cats are litter trained, less destructive, and less likely to climb your curtains at three A.M. They’ve moved past the high-energy kitten phase, so you get to enjoy their calmer, more settled side.
3. They adjust faster than you think: While kittens need lots of socialization and attention, adult cats often settle into their new homes quickly. Many have lived with people before, so they understand routines, household sounds, and how to be a great companion.
Many adult cats are in shelters through no fault of their own, like a change in family circumstances. They’re just waiting for a second chance. With a little time and care, they’ll form deep, lasting bonds with their new forever family.

It's the first Big Fix of 2026! These MASH-style clinics bring FREE spay/neuter outreach to the neediest of neighborhoods. In a single day, our SNIPSA staff joins hands with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, army nurses, service groups and hundreds of volunteers to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and microchip over 450 dogs and cats. It’s a win-win for the community and the most loved and well-attended volunteer event that SNIPSA hosts.
We invite you to get your pet fixed, donate, or volunteer to help us on the big day! Click the links below to get involved.
**Please fill out a separate appointment request for every animal receiving services.
NOTE: An appointment request DOES NOT GUARANTEE a spot at The Big Fix. **
Holiday Advice for Pets (Please Take Notes):
1. The Christmas tree is not a toy, a snack, or your mortal enemy.
2. Wrapping paper is festive, yes, but eating it is frowned upon.
3. You are not starving. You ate 10 minutes ago. We have witnesses.
4. Guests are not legally required to pet you nonstop (but nice try).
5. Ornaments are not chew toys, not even the shiny, tempting ones.
6. The fireplace is not "warm vibes"; it's danger vibes.
7. Holiday photos require sitting still for three seconds. You can do this. (Probably.)
Remember: You are the best gift this holiday season... even when you're on the naughty list.
