Vote for SNIPSA's 2026 Face of the Race

Our Top Contenders are Tail and Tail!

The Face of the Race is an annual peer-to-peer fundraiser hosted by SNIPSA in tandem with our 5k Race on Saturday, September 26th. The crown is awarded to the dog that raises the most money for homeless animals!

So, we’re calling on you to lift up your Puro Pup…

Click the link below to see all of SNIPSA’s contestants and VOTE! Our goal this year is $25,000, and we have a long way to go. We hope to smash this number so we can continue our mission of saving lives in 2026.

***You may donate/vote as many times and for as many animals as you’d like before midnight on Monday, August 10th, 2026. All proceeds from the contest provide medical care for rescues within SNIPSA’s adoption program and spay/neuter outreach for underserved areas in San Antonio. Join us for SNIPSA’s biggest event of the year, the 19th Annual Race for the Rescues! This all-paws-in fundraiser raises critical awareness for San Antonio’s homeless animal population, with proceeds directly supporting our spay/neuter outreach and providing essential veterinary care for rescue animals. Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, you can make a difference. (And yes, your dog can race too!)

Volunteer at SNIPSA

SNIPSA volunteers are essential to the organization’s mission of rescuing and rehabilitating animals in San Antonio. With opportunities ranging from adoption events and in-office animal care to community outreach and marketing support, there’s a role for everyone—including special programs for youth and group volunteer experiences.

Pet of The Week

Randy

The curious disappearance of Randy from our “adoption floor” remains one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of our time. As a detective of canine hearts, I have inspected the evidence closely, and the conclusion is completely baffling: How has this magnificent fellow remained in our program for so long??

Sporting the sleek, athletic silhouette of a Doberman yet possessing the tranquil soul of a cozy house cat, Randy is a masterclass in contradiction. A brief audit of his case file reveals undeniable proof of his brilliance:

House-Training: A flawless 10 out of ten.

Crate-Training: Stellar performance with a peaceful demeanor.

Travel: An absolute master of the passenger seat, always ready to deploy for a new adventure.

True to the spirit of unconventional investigation, his loyal foster detective and chief cheerleader has even taken to the digital archives, documenting his daily capers on Instagram at @theRandyproject2026. Follow along!

Beneath his dashing exterior lies a fun-loving pup who loves to indulge in zoomie sessions before he retires to his true passion: anchoring the couch with his signature chin-rest against your knee. He is remarkably civilized, entirely unsuited for guard duty due to his pathological enthusiasm for every human he meets, and equally adept at sharing real estate with both canine and human siblings.

The clues are all pointing in one definitive direction. Will you be the brilliant partner to finally crack this case and give Randy the forever home he has been searching for?
