Vote for SNIPSA's 2026 Face of the Race

Our Top Contenders are Tail and Tail!

The Face of the Race is an annual peer-to-peer fundraiser hosted by SNIPSA in tandem with our 5k Race on Saturday, September 26th. The crown is awarded to the dog that raises the most money for homeless animals!

So, we’re calling on you to lift up your Puro Pup…

Click the link below to see all of SNIPSA’s contestants and VOTE! Our goal this year is $25,000, and we have a long way to go. We hope to smash this number so we can continue our mission of saving lives in 2026.

***You may donate/vote as many times and for as many animals as you’d like before midnight on Monday, August 10th, 2026. All proceeds from the contest provide medical care for rescues within SNIPSA’s adoption program and spay/neuter outreach for underserved areas in San Antonio. Thank you for your participation and support!***

19th Annual Race for the Rescues!

Join us for SNIPSA’s biggest event of the year, the 19th Annual Race for the Rescues! This all-paws-in fundraiser raises critical awareness for San Antonio’s homeless animal population, with proceeds directly supporting our spay/neuter outreach and providing essential veterinary care for rescue animals. Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, you can make a difference. (And yes, your dog can race too!)

Volunteer at SNIPSA

SNIPSA volunteers are essential to the organization’s mission of rescuing and rehabilitating animals in San Antonio. With opportunities ranging from adoption events and in-office animal care to community outreach and marketing support, there’s a role for everyone—including special programs for youth and group volunteer experiences.

Pet of The Week

Ollie

Ollie, Ollie, Ollie! Oi, oi, oi!

Say ‘ello to our handsome cookies and cream-coated pup. Ollie is a model Labrador mix–active, playful, and a good sport around other dogs. He’s been acting as the resident office fitness coach, and he’s certainly given the other dogs a run for their money, keeping their paws moving and tails wagging. This Energizer Bunny would do great in a home with kids who love to play as much as he does!

Curious and always ready to seek out the latest action, Ollie is a natural explorer and would be the perfect walking or hiking buddy. With his sniffer to the ground 24/7, his name might as well be Sherlock. Those smarts could go toward learning some fun tricks with the right time and training, too!

Ollie’s a pup with no shortage of pep and personality. Now he just needs someone to match his passion. Are you ready for a world of licks, tail wags, and fun? Apply to adopt Ollie today!
