If you are looking to add a wonderful pet to your family, you have come to the right place. Please view the dogs we have available for adoption below. We ask everyone to complete an Adoption Application and to agree to the terms set out in our Adoption Contract. In an effort to maintain proper social distancing measures, we have made our Adoption Contract and Spay/Neuter Contract available online.
Fees vary depending on the type of pet you would like to adopt. Puppies start at $300, adult dogs start at $250, and cats start at $150.
*Please note: Animals that have received additional non-routine medical treatment have a higher adoption fee.
All applications are reviewed in the order they are received. Once we have received your application and it is approved, you will be contacted by our adoption coordinator within 48-72 hours. We will then have the foster family contact you to discuss the next steps of meeting with your potential new family member.
Our adoptable animals come from a variety of situations. Many are strays so we don't always know their background or the situation they came from. SNIPSA puts all efforts to conduct a full behavioral evaluation, as well as health assessment.
Before adopting a pet, please make sure that it is the right pet for you and your family and that you are willing to make the commitment to take care of this animal for the rest of its life.

It’s getting chilly in San Antonio! 🐶❄️ With temps dropping to 33°, and potentially lower, make sure your furry friends stay safe and warm. Here’s how:
🐾 Bring your pets indoors, especially at night.
🐾 Dress them in sweaters or jackets if they tolerate it.
🐾 Keep outdoor walks brief to prevent overexposure.
Are you helping any stray animals like Feral cats? 🐱 Here’s a few things you can do to help them stay warm:
🐾 Build DIY shelters using plastic bins and straw (not blankets).
🐾 Provide fresh, unfrozen water in insulated bowls.
🐾 Feed extra calories to help them stay warm.

After being saved from euthanasia, this girl has wasted no time enjoying her life! Chug-a-Lug enjoys going on her morning walks and finding all the best smells. 🍃🐶
She is great with kids and has tons of fun playing with our favorite six-year-old. After a good romp, she easily settles down into a lap or a cozy bed for a sweet snooze. 🛌🐾
And not to mention, she is always eager to show off her trademark underbite! Chug-a-Lug is almost fully grown at nine months old, and she already has mastered her manners. She is truly charm and class, wrapped up in the most adorable package. ✨🎀
