Roxanne
Roxanne serves as SNIPSAโs Administrative Assistant. She is responsible for scheduling spay/neuter surgery, manning the thousands of phone calls and emails that come through our office, assisting with adoptions and all the day-to-day that happens in the rescue world. ย
Roxanne is a longtime resident of San Antonio who shares a unique and special relationship with her identical twin sister and three other siblings. Roxanne has worked in the service industry for fifteen years as a property manager and as a service manager for a premium car dealership.ย She received her degree in History and Anthropology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2015. Her love for animals led her to join the SNIPSA family in 2021. Roxanne is committed to helping her community rescue, rehome, and encourage responsible pet ownership. When she’s not working, Roxanne refuels by spending time with her family, riding bikes, caring for her hedgehog and three felines – Eek, Guts, and Tiger.

Well, weโve got our very own Napoleon Dynamite in the building. Meet Scout! ๐ Just like Napoleon, Scout can be a little shy on the approach, but he was born to be in the spotlight. He loves attention, walks, treats andโmore than anythingโhis people! In his foster home, Scout hasnโt wasted any time bonding with his foster family. He is a perfect shadow, following his foster mom everywhere she goes with enthusiasm. This little busybody also enjoys his โwalkiesโ where he can feel the grass on his paws. Not to mention, heโs perfectly house-trained, which makes that outside time extra special! ๐ฑ
One thing to note about Scout is that he is thought to have been hit by a car at some point in his life, resulting in a luxated hip. He underwent a femoral head ostectomy to repair it, resulting in a slightly higher adoption fee. While Scout has been through a lot in his two years, he has a happy and healthy future just ahead. ๐ค He recently made his debut at the King William Parade where he stole more than just a few hearts. Saturday morning, our rescues were walked, carried and given allll the kisses during the King William Parade. Our Shoe litter also made their debut at Therapy Animals of San Antonioโs 26th Annual Pooch Parade! We had such a great time partying with our San Antonio community, showing off our pups and selling the last of our 2024 Fiesta medals. A HUGE thank you to the staff and volunteers who rose at the crack of dawn to spread some puppy love! ๐๐๐พ

Iโm Lucy Lu! Who are you?! ๐ค Well, Iโm the sweetest, most playful girl around. Iโll run zoooomies around your heart if youโll just let me. Originally adopted as a puppy back in 2021, I was sadly returned due to some unforeseen circumstances in my parentsโ lives. But despite needing to find a new home, Iโm the best dog ever! โค๏ธโ๐ฉน I love going on walks, playing fetch and showing off my best tricks for Milk Bones. At the end of the day, my favorite thing to do is cuddle up with my loved ones and watch movies. I am great with kids and other dogs, so I should make an easy adjustment to just about any family home. And not to mention, I have the best house manners! ๐พ My breed is a bit of a mystery, but SNIPSA thinks Iโm some kind of Boston Terrier mix.
