Staci Guerra
Staci graduated from the University of Texas-San Antonio with a degree in Professional Writing, wanting to pursue non-profit work. She has always had a passion for animal rescue-volunteering with multiple rescues throughout her education which eventually led her to SNIPSA after graduating.
When she is not snapping pics of SNIPSA rescues or writing, youโll find Staci down at the coast on a boat with her husband and their two dogs- Bane and SNIPSA alumnus Lex Luthor. Living out on a ranch, she is also surrounded by an array of horses, cows, and goats.
Staci has been with SNIPSA for over 4 years and is dedicated to supporting the mission.

Well, weโve got our very own Napoleon Dynamite in the building. Meet Scout! ๐ Just like Napoleon, Scout can be a little shy on the approach, but he was born to be in the spotlight. He loves attention, walks, treats andโmore than anythingโhis people! In his foster home, Scout hasnโt wasted any time bonding with his foster family. He is a perfect shadow, following his foster mom everywhere she goes with enthusiasm. This little busybody also enjoys his โwalkiesโ where he can feel the grass on his paws. Not to mention, heโs perfectly house-trained, which makes that outside time extra special! ๐ฑ
One thing to note about Scout is that he is thought to have been hit by a car at some point in his life, resulting in a luxated hip. He underwent a femoral head ostectomy to repair it, resulting in a slightly higher adoption fee. While Scout has been through a lot in his two years, he has a happy and healthy future just ahead. ๐ค He recently made his debut at the King William Parade where he stole more than just a few hearts. Saturday morning, our rescues were walked, carried and given allll the kisses during the King William Parade. Our Shoe litter also made their debut at Therapy Animals of San Antonioโs 26th Annual Pooch Parade! We had such a great time partying with our San Antonio community, showing off our pups and selling the last of our 2024 Fiesta medals. A HUGE thank you to the staff and volunteers who rose at the crack of dawn to spread some puppy love! ๐๐๐พ

Iโm Lucy Lu! Who are you?! ๐ค Well, Iโm the sweetest, most playful girl around. Iโll run zoooomies around your heart if youโll just let me. Originally adopted as a puppy back in 2021, I was sadly returned due to some unforeseen circumstances in my parentsโ lives. But despite needing to find a new home, Iโm the best dog ever! โค๏ธโ๐ฉน I love going on walks, playing fetch and showing off my best tricks for Milk Bones. At the end of the day, my favorite thing to do is cuddle up with my loved ones and watch movies. I am great with kids and other dogs, so I should make an easy adjustment to just about any family home. And not to mention, I have the best house manners! ๐พ My breed is a bit of a mystery, but SNIPSA thinks Iโm some kind of Boston Terrier mix.
