Tami Myers
Tami has had a lifelong love of the veterinary field. From 9 years of age, she trained eight guide dogs for the blind and raised market pigs, goats, dairy heifers, and sheep all through high school.
Her current menagerie of creatures includes two teenagers, numerous dog and cat fosters, 6 permanent fur babies, a bunny, a cockatiel, and 2 saltwater fish tanks โ sheโs a lover of all animals. She even met her husband of 22 years at the county fair when he helped her catch a runaway sheep!
While traveling the world with her family through 20 years of Navy life, Tami has worked extensively in animal hospitals and bird farms throughout Southern California, Oregon, Southern Spain, and Texas. She attended California Polytechnic University at Pomona studying animal science and holds a bachelorโs degree in healthcare management.ย

Itโs almost time for Fiesta parades to return to the streets of San Antonio, and guess what? SNIPSA will once again make an appearance at both the King William Parade and the 25th annual Pooch Parade! ๐โจ You can catch us strutting our stuff with some royal rescues at the King William Parade, or swing by our booth at the Pooch Parade to snag a SNIPSA Fiesta medal and see some impressive canines in costume. Iโm Lucy Lu! Who are you?! ๐ค Well, Iโm the sweetest, most playful girl around. Iโll run zoooomies around your heart if youโll just let me. Originally adopted as a puppy back in 2021, I was sadly returned due to some unforeseen circumstances in my parentsโ lives. But despite needing to find a new home, Iโm the best dog ever! โค๏ธโ๐ฉน I love going on walks, playing fetch and showing off my best tricks for Milk Bones. At the end of the day, my favorite thing to do is cuddle up with my loved ones and watch movies. I am great with kids and other dogs, so I should make an easy adjustment to just about any family home. And not to mention, I have the best house manners! ๐พ My breed is a bit of a mystery, but SNIPSA thinks Iโm some kind of Boston Terrier mix.
