Vote for Piper!Mr. Darcy was a reason our family started fostering dogs from SNIPSA. He was our FIRST foster. From the beginning, he has been our protector, our best friend, our family therapist. Mr. Darcy killed a coral snake protecting 3 puppies. He senses the energy from mom, especially when our kids don’t want to do things they are asked for. Mr. Darcy barks at them letting them know to listen to mom, lol. He follows mom everywhere she goes. He shows gratitude and gives her unconditional love. Mr. Darcy serves as a father figure to foster puppies that don’t have mom and dad. He also guards pregnant dog-moms during puppy births. He understands, supports, empathizes, encourages, and respects every doggy mom-to-be who is lucky enough to be at our house. Mr. Darcy has changed our lives forever. He gave us courage to open our hearts even more to those who can’t speak. Thanks to Mr. Darcy, our family had 215 foster dogs in a period of two and a half years. You can see them on our instagram account: will.u.adopt.me He became a symbol of persistence, patience, love, sacrifice, and compassion. Mr. Darcy rewrote the meaning of man’s best friend. He is a member of our family forever. He got a second chance, thanks to Snipsa, but many people adopted their four -legged -babies because they saw them on our account. In our eyes, he is more than a dog. He came to our home with a mission… he just needed humans to help him. If you like the story of Mr. Darcy, please vote for him to spread awareness about SNIPSA. It is because of SNIPSA, more and more people open their homes to help, and dogs and cats get their ”second” chance. Thank you.
Vote for Mr. Darcy!Sascha is a 10-year-old Standard Schnauzer with excellent eyebrows, a fantastic beard, and a very serious sense of purpose. While Sascha’s own story is not one of rescue, she is proud to use her big personality, loyal fan club, and strong opinions about snacks to help animals who are waiting for their second chance. She believes every dog and cat deserves care, safety, and a loving place to land - and she is honored to campaign in support of SNIPSA’s lifesaving work. Sascha should be crowned SNIPSA’s Face of the Race because she brings humor, heart, and joy wherever she goes. She will be campaigning with dignity, limited cardio, and great enthusiasm for snacks.
Vote for Sascha!Twinkles is what SNIPSA is all about! SNIPSA gave life to this pup and really made her shine like a star. She was found a little over a year ago and taken into the program. After being hit by a car, Twinkles was given leg surgery. During recovery she was unknowingly growing 12 puppies inside of her, while also being heart worm positive and very malnourished. In her foster home, she birthed and nursed her puppies and recovered from heart worm treatment and her spay surgery. This girl was very withdrawn and very scared of humans. She spent so much time in her foster home that after 6 months she told her foster mom she wanted to stay forever. Now she shines like a star and loves playing with her border collie sister and loves going for walks. She spends her days either on the couch looking out the window or protecting her backyard from any car that passes by. She also welcomes any new foster comes into her home. Twinkle Twinkle- she is only of of the many Stars that are rescued by SNIPSA!
Vote for Twinkles!During fiesta, Luisa was one of the faces of the sip and shop event on a kens5 segment and did a great job on there!! she has a very loveable face, with 2 different sized ears, which we love about her!! she is such a sweet puppy with a ton of energy, she is also the 5th animal that our family has rescued through snipsa and we would love to help fundraise for such an amazing organization that we’ve gotten so many adorable and loving fur babies from!
Vote for Luisa! Our pup Kiddo was rescued through SNIPSA in December 2018. She was the last of her litter, probably due to the fact that she was born deaf. Her deafness though has NEVER held her back. She caught on to sign language so fast and learned to “listen” to our body language like none of my dogs ever have. She is so smart and the most intuitive dog I’ve ever meet. She was my study companion when I went back to school, she healed me through COVID, and keeps me grounded daily. Technically I may have rescued her but she saves me everyday.
Vote for Kiddo! We adopted from SNIPSA last year! She is a dog of the people, loves all around.
Vote for Rosie!Brissa stole my heart as my last foster dog. The moment I chose to keep her, my pet count grew to three, which meant I could no longer continue fostering. While I miss opening my home to foster dogs, Brissa and my other two girls fill my days with endless companionship, laughter, and love. Brissa is happy, active, and wonderfully energetic—always keeping life interesting. What I thought would be a tiny little dog turned out to be the perfect medium-sized addition to our family. She grew taller than Bexie but is still just a little smaller than Paloma, making her the perfect middle sister in my trio. She is simply perfect, with her beautiful brown spots, striking green eyes, and a personality that’s impossible not to love. Every day, she reminds me that sometimes the foster you’re meant to save ends up saving you instead. ❤️
Vote for Brissa!I think Cookie should be the face of the race because she is super friendly, loves to walk, and she will make everyone laugh and smile.
Vote for Cookie!Donut was a SNIPSA rescue, the runt and only surviving member of a litter of 7! I think she is picture perfect to portray what SNIPSA is all about!
Vote for Donut!Skelly is a 3-year-old SNIPSA bottle baby who was originally named Alien because of his silly little kitten face. He has a tiny stub tail, loves every animal he meets, and is a total daddy’s boy. He spent the first half of his life living on the beach, and maybe that’s why he’s always ready for an adventure. Skelly acts more like a dog than a cat, loves being outside, and even picks up his toys and puts them away in his toy box. We’re so grateful to SNIPSA for giving this special guy his start in life. ❤️🐱
Vote for Skelly!Tyson was adopted from SNIPSA at 10 weeks old and he is the goofiest pup that brigs so much joy to anyone he meets!
Vote for Tyson! He’s a SNIPSA alum (formerly known as Garbanzo Bean). Hector is working on his Barn Hunt Master Title and has competed in scent work and handler discrimination. He has flunked the Canine Good Citizen test twice, but no one is perfect!
Vote for Hector!Jasper may not be a rescue pup, but he is a shining example of what it looks like when a dog is deeply loved, well cared for, and rooted in his community. He’s a 13‑pound Mini Schnauzer with a big personality, expressive eyes, and a gentle spirit that brings joy to everyone who crosses his path. He’s the pup who greets his firefighter friends every morning, who brings smiles to neighbors on their walks, and who proudly cheers on his hometown Spurs with all the enthusiasm his small body can hold. Jasper has a way of making people feel lighter, happier, and more connected — a tiny ambassador of joy in the 210. Jasper is also surrounded by a village that he absolutely adores. He loves his vet at CityVet Alamo Heights, where he walks in like he owns the place. His groomer at Planet Pet Spa keeps him looking sharp, and he greets her with the kind of excitement that proves he knows he’s in good hands. And his trainer and boarding friends at Pup Pup & Away have helped him grow into the well‑mannered, social, happy pup he is today. Jasper thrives because he is cared for by people who treat him like family, and he loves them right back. That’s why I believe Jasper would make the perfect Face of the Race. He represents responsible pet ownership, community connection, and the joy animals bring into our lives. He may not have been rescued, but he stands proudly with every animal who deserves love, safety, and a chance to thrive. Jasper would use this spotlight to celebrate the mission — and to help other animals find the same kind of care and belonging he enjoys every day. Jasper’s heart is big, his spirit is bright, and his presence makes people feel good. He would carry this title with gratitude, charm, and the kind of charisma only Jasper can bring.
Vote for Jasper!Bacon started life on the streets, and was rescued first by the Animal Defense League then by human Josafina. Bacon is a professional growler, barker, prancer, cuddler, and kisser rolled into an oversized-ear riddled head and puny body. Bacon is such a grump he doesn't deserve anything. But winning might prove to other animals that anything in life is possible, so go ahead and believe in miracles.
Vote for Bacon!Rennie (short for Relentless) waited for adoption at a SNIPSA event, long legs all folded into a small shivering nervous package. Somewhere between his hilarious buck tooth, that tongue, and the last one inch of his tail wagging he stole my heart!
Vote for Rennie!Minnie Jo was found blind, unspayed, and in bad physical condition wandering around Blanco and Woodlawn in 2016. I just happened to get a text from my mom at work asking if I wanted a dog. We both had no idea what we were getting! She turned out to be an angel. Later DNA testing revealed her true age, and she is now 20 years old as of March, 2026. She has been the best little companion I could have asked for.
Vote for Minnie Jo!Sweet Pea is now 11 years old. I first saw Sweet Pea through a posting on Facebook on February 2024. She was diagnosed with depression, she was used for breeding and when no longer good she was dump, emaciated, skin and bones, full of heartworms, fleas, ticks and masses all over her belly and mamary glands. I saw a very sad sad face and contacted the lady from the posting. Next day, she advised me that Sweet Pea was already in the euthanisia room and needed to tag her now! I tagged her to foster her, but then there was silence, those were the most emotional and worrysome 20 minutes of my life! I didn't know if she was rescued on time or she was already put to sleep, when suddently I get an email saying that the admn lady got to the dark room within 30 seconds from her being put to sleep! She went through a severe surgery to remove the bumps in her already fragile body, then we did the slow kill method for the heartworms since she has gone through a lot. With a lot of love and care Sweet Pea did a complete turn around! My dad got to meet her and fell in love with her, 4 months later he passed away. Everyone that meets her end up loving pitbulls. She is a great pitbull ambassador! After that happened my husband and I decided to adopt her and she reminds me daily of how beautiful life is when there is responsibility, love and care around us. Because of this reason I strongly believe that this 11 year old baby deserves to be crowned SNIPSA's Face of the Race!!
Vote for Sweet Pea!Winter is a SNIPSA rescue (2024), she has the friendliest personality and lives a good belly scratch. She’s a beautiful dog and would be a great face of the race.
Vote for Winter!Laila is the smartest, sweetest, the most sensitive toy Yorkie! She can sniff out any intruder, gives loving kisses, and cuddles up in your lap as soon as you sit down. She keeps her brother, Lars, in line whenever they go out. She will look at you with such love that it is hard to resist her anything ❤️
Vote for Laila!Lars is fun-loving, fiesty, and fast-on-the draw, so watch your socks!!! He loves his sister Laila and is fiercely protective of her. Yet, he's a ball of fluff when he sees a human. He loves running after his ball NON-STOP; mostly, he just loves ❤️.
PAGE PENDINGBeejie is a five year old bull terrier. She went through four homes before coming to live with me and had some aggression issues as well as fear of men due to a terrible situation in one of her homes. She’s an AKC champion conformation dog and through our training together has acquired six performance titles including the AKC Fit Dog Gold Medal for doing 5K runs, walks and dog sports. Her favorite is Fast Cat and has a BCAT title for that. Her formerly bad disposition has changed dramatically and she’s no longer the throw away dog of the dog show world. She’s my best friend, protector and love puppy. We’re working hard to make rescue a good thing and show everyone even the lost can be found.
Vote for Beejie!Sookie should be crowned for Face of the Race for a few reasons. Not only is she a direct product of SNIPSA's mission but she was also part of a record breaking year for this same campaign in 2025 with the most individual donations for a contestant in face of the race history. Sookie rallied an incredible 142 donators and over $6000 raised. While she did not bring in the most money, she did wonders in raising awareness for SNIPSA's mission. This year she will work twice as hard to hopefully beat her own record and maybe, just maybe this time take home the title!
Vote for Sookie! He’s absolutely adorable, has perfect manners and has the ability to make people calm down if they’re upset or sad by putting his paws on them or laying in their lap.
Vote for Percy!Clover is the sweetest girl - she is truly my soul dog. I adopted her in 2021 during the depths of COVID. It was a hard and lonely time. Clover became a shining light to me. She would be a great spokes-dog for adopting animals from the shelter as she is from the shelter herself! She also participated in last year’s SNIPSA race, and had a blast!
Vote for Clover!Bluey is SNIPSA alum adopted last August and represents the formed stray who made for the best companion ever. SNIPSA publicized a video of Shaboozie in which she was covered in ticks, emaciated and had clearly had puppies … she might not be a dog that people would think could adapt or do well in a home. However, she is glorious and luckily adapted almost immediately to our family (including pets). She seemed to just need a family.
Vote for Bluey!Camo has a significant following on Instagram and can reach many people regarding the mission of SNIPSA. Additionally, he is very friendly around others, especially humans to charm them into the reason for being at the race and supporting SNIPSA.
Vote for Camo!Dexter is a friend to all, humans and dogs alike. He has a natural gift for helping other dogs feel safe and confident, and has supported several of my foster dogs as they learned to come out of their shells and enjoy companionship again. His gentle, social nature makes him a wonderful ambassador for rescue and community.
Vote for Dexter!Jazz is a 7 year old tripawd adopted from ACS in 2019. She is a self proclaimed Pitbull advocate and we go out into the community to educate people about the breed. Jazz is also 2025 El Rey Fido, Duchess of the Fire Hydrant. As a rescue advocate Jazz will be a great representative for SNIPSA.
Vote for Jazz!Age: 13 physically… emotionally 35. Or maybe 50 depending on the day and how bad his back hurts after a nap. Former cowboy & retired cattle rancher turned part-time blogger giving struggling plant parents deeply questionable advice through his seris called “The Green Paw”. Proud alumni of Alamo City Pit Bull Rescue (Go Pitts) Smokey went from eating rocks… to wearing them. Now he’s a business owner, homeowner, has a personal driver, and is a self-proclaimed real estate mogul with one single tiny home in his portfolio. How did he become so successful? Nobody really knows….he sleeps hours a day and survives almost entirely on snacks, ear rubs, & emotional support. Smokey has a special passion for helping pups in need, especially the endangered land seals, though he firmly believes all animals deserve love. Smokey knows what it means to be given a second chance. From surviving the streets to becoming a self-made pup, business owner, and local icon, he now wants to do everything he can to help San Antonio strays find the happily ever after every pup deserves.
Vote for Smokey!Jack is a SNIPSA alumni 🫶🏼 he stole my heart the moment I met him and has helped me during my separation from service. Although he is not registered as service dog or ESA he has provided SO much love and comfort and helped in my healing! Jack is a spunky pitbull, pug, chihuahua, husky mix (yes we had him DNA tested) that loves to eat everything, we believe he’s also part goat. He loves to swim, snuggle, dig, and invade personal space. He is such a character, making faces, cutting side eyes, and making everyone we see stop to tell him how cute he is. My best friend Jack deserves to be the face of the race because he is the best blessing with four legs and fur I’ve ever had! ❤️
Vote for Jack!
