Our events are fast-paced and fun! From adoption events to puppy yoga to The Big Fix, there are many opportunities to get involved with our mission. It's all hands on deck here at SNIPSA, so grab your friends and sign up.
EVENTS
Our SNIPSA volunteers dedicate their time giving to the animals in the community because they believe in what we do. Each year, we rescue over 1000 animals from dire situations off the streets and from local animal shelters. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, and microchip
more than 2600 animals residing in low income areas of town that would otherwise continue to reproduce and contribute to San Antonio’s huge stray population. We do all of this because of YOU, our volunteers, and we can always use more hands on deck!

EVENTS
We always need help in our office during the week. Our needs vary, so the ability to “go with the flow” is important. Tasks include bathing and walking rescues, cleaning crates and tools, data entry, marketing support and more.
IN-OFFICE HELP
We recognize that children under 14 years want to be philanthropic and that not all parents have the ability to volunteer with their children. As a result, we’ve created a few activities that kids can do at home or school to contribute to SNIPSA and earn volunteer hours!

We always want to be supportive of kids with a giving heart. We have a few volunteer opportunities for children, but ask that both the child and parent/legal guardian complete a volunteer profile. The parent or guardian must accompany the child at all times.

Our group volunteering opportunities allow for corporate or organizational groups to assist with events for SNIPSA. Volunteer groups are typically groups of 10-15 people that volunteer for 2-hour shifts or longer. Volunteer groups operate on a first come, first serve basis, and fill up quickly.

It’s almost time for THE BIG FIX! 🐶✂️🐱
We are just weeks away from one of our biggest events. Twice a year, SNIPSA holds The Big Fix: A MASH-style operation clinic that provides FREE spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and microchips to over 500 cats and dogs in a single day❗️
This is a big operation (pun intended), and we need as many volunteers as possible! 💙

Our dear rescue, Ruby, received much-needed surgery yesterday! When Ruby joined our program, she was suffering from a condition called entropion. For those who may not be familiar, entropion is when the eyelid rolls inward, leading to discomfort and in severe cases, infection. Our skilled technicians and surgeon, Dr. Hey, took excellent care of Ruby, allowing her to focus on brighter days ahead in her new home! 🐶💞🏡

In the highest room in the tallest tower, there’s a lovely Princess waiting for her true love’s kiss! 🏰💗
Princess was initially rescued from a hoarding situation, and she has since overcome incredible odds. Once shy and scared, this pretty lady is now a total lover girl. 👑Yes, she still shakes like your typical Chihuahua, but there is newfound bravery in that tiny body!
As a Princess, she has perfected her daily routine: In the mornings, she eagerly gobbles her breakfast prepared by the finest of chefs. Midday, she enjoys a stroll around the castle grounds where she can soak up a little sunshine. And finally, in the evenings, Princess will find a comfy lap to settle into while she enjoys some royal television. ✨ Sometimes, she even dive-bombs under the blankets in a frenzied search for dragons.
But there are no dragons here...only perfection! 🐉 Give Princess the storybook ending she has been pining after. Call to her and she will surely answer!
