About Me
Woop-woop, that’s the sound of da police! Don’t worry, there’s no need to put your hands in the air, we promise these four won’t arrest you. Meet Sergeant, Lieutenant, Chief and Detective, four large canines that were recently rescued after they were left behind at a boarding facility. These sweet dogs were housed and cared for until it was time to make the journey over to SNIPSA. But despite their rough start, it’s clear that none of them have lost their spirit! This pup patrol arrived at our facility with wagging tails, good temperaments and ALL the love in the world to give. Though they may present themselves with some tough exteriors, they truly are the biggest of babies. Due to their size and overall temperament, these four would each benefit from active lifestyles to ensure they are receiving adequate exercise.
Detective has proven to be the goofiest gal (and the only gal) in the group as she romps up and down the office hallways, ready to play with anything or anyone in sight. On her last visit, she donated a variety handmade tie-dyed tees and bandanas for our rescue dogs. 🐾😋 We loved her gift so much that we decided to name a litter in her honor! Well, we’ve got our very own Napoleon Dynamite in the building. Meet Scout! 💗 Just like Napoleon, Scout can be a little shy on the approach, but he was born to be in the spotlight. He loves attention, walks, treats and–more than anything–his people! In his foster home, Scout hasn’t wasted any time bonding with his foster family. He is a perfect shadow, following his foster mom everywhere she goes with enthusiasm. This little busybody also enjoys his “walkies” where he can feel the grass on his paws. Not to mention, he’s perfectly house-trained, which makes that outside time extra special! 🌱
One thing to note about Scout is that he is thought to have been hit by a car at some point in his life, resulting in a luxated hip. He underwent a femoral head ostectomy to repair it, resulting in a slightly higher adoption fee. While Scout has been through a lot in his two years, he has a happy and healthy future just ahead. 🤞 He recently made his debut at the King William Parade where he stole more than just a few hearts. Double the parades made for double the fun this Fiesta weekend!!! 👑🐕🦺🪅 Saturday morning, our rescues were walked, carried and given allll the kisses during the King William Parade. Our Shoe litter also made their debut at Therapy Animals of San Antonio’s 26th Annual Pooch Parade! We had such a great time partying with our San Antonio community, showing off our pups and selling the last of our 2024 Fiesta medals. A HUGE thank you to the staff and volunteers who rose at the crack of dawn to spread some puppy love! 😄💗🐾
