Flash! Aah-aaah! Savior of the universe!
Flash is a super dog, but while he is the savior of the universe, he is the one who needed saving this time. Poor Flash found himself in a scuffle with another dog and unfortunately lost the fight. Covered in bite wounds, he received immediate veterinary care at our local shelter and was transferred to SNIPSA, where we continued much-needed antibiotics, pain meds, and waited for him to round the corner. We are pleased to report he is now doing fantastically. He loves his toys, has discovered the bed, and thinks everyone is his bestie!! Flash is potty-trained and an exceptional house guest. Being on the younger side, he still has some youthful energy but also knows how to settle down. Flash is intelligent, charming, and the cutest scruff boy ever. Don’t miss out on this wonderful companion, he will light up your life.

Meet Mister Green Jeans - our sweetest boy recently rescued from a local shelter with a deep wound to his chest. He is receiving daily bandage changes using honey which is a fantastic natural salve to help wounds heal. In between bandage changes, he received a much needed bath and is feeling frisky and ready for Easter. We are wishing our boy a speedy recovery and hoping he finds the Golden egg this weekend!! 🐣🐇 🥚🐾🐕✝️ 🐕🦺🎉

On Saturday, April 12th, hundreds of people gathered with their pets at St. Mary’s University for a common cause – to reduce the homeless animal population in San Antonio.
With a dedicated team of veterinarians, technicians, volunteers, SNIPSA staff and responsible pet owners, we were able to spay, neuter, vaccinate, and microchip 515 animals in need. ❤️ We say it often because it’s true: We couldn’t help the thousands of pets we do each year without your support, compassion, and commitment. Thank you! Thank you! And thank you AGAIN!! 💪

Looking for a tiny slice of heaven? Zoey is our favorite little angel. This tiny girl was saved from euthanasia at a local shelter at the ripe age of twelve years old. Then, she lived with a loving owner for several years until they sustained a hip injury, rendering them unable to care for her. Now at 15 years old, Zoey is seeking a home where she can rest her old bones and finish out her golden years. 🙏🐶😇
Zoey has come out of her shell rather quickly in her foster home and likes to follow around her human friends when she isn’t sleeping. Yup–despite her cataracts and stiff legs, Zoey loves to be in the middle of the action! She also appreciates tasty snacks and the occasional play session, though she can be cautious about being picked up. Given time and the opportunity to bond with a new owner, we can see her as the perfect chi-companion. 💗🐾

We are still waiting on the final count of all the cats and dogs we were able to spay and neuter, but in the meantime we wanted to thank all the staff, veterinarians, vet techs and volunteers who put in long hours and hard work!
