Brought to SNIPSA through Animal Care Services’ community outreach program, these eight little buggers are set to make a smooth transition to rescue life. Meet Flik, Slim, Hopper, Francis, Rosie, Gypsy, Flora and Atta. Though we have no way of knowing the certainty of their breed, their stubby legs and wire hair point to the chance of Wire-haired Dachshund Mixes. Dachshunds are known for their affectionate nature and loyalty to their owners, so any of these pups are sure to be your #1 fan! At their young age, they are sure to adjust well in their future homes so long as they receive the proper time, training and patience that all puppies require. It’s getting chilly in San Antonio! 🐶❄️ With temps dropping to 33°, and potentially lower, make sure your furry friends stay safe and warm. Here’s how:
🐾 Bring your pets indoors, especially at night.
🐾 Dress them in sweaters or jackets if they tolerate it.
🐾 Keep outdoor walks brief to prevent overexposure.
Are you helping any stray animals like Feral cats? 🐱 Here’s a few things you can do to help them stay warm:
🐾 Build DIY shelters using plastic bins and straw (not blankets).
🐾 Provide fresh, unfrozen water in insulated bowls.
🐾 Feed extra calories to help them stay warm.
