As tough as can be and bigger than ever, you might just mistake a cowboy like me for the bull itself. Howdy, nice to meet ya! The name’s Ludo. You might be wondering what a tall glass of water like me is doing without a home. Well, to tell ya the truth, I’ve been wondering the same thing myself. Found wandering the streets near some farmland, my savior was nice enough to help me find my way to a better life at SNIPSA. My foster mama says I’m a real smart boy…and good too! I’m really good at sittin’ especially when you tell me to. Plus, I’m workin’ real hard on how to shake, but I promise I’ve almost got it down! I’m as happy as a pig eatin’ slop and I love to play with every creature I meet. From kids to cows and even other dogs, I make friends as easy as pie. That said, I hope you’ve got a lot of space cause I’m one BIG puppy. There’s no telling just how large I’m gonna get, but you can bet that I’ll be the biggest lap dog you’ll ever meet. I’ve been sleepin’ in a crate every night with no complaints. I also like to make sure everyone in the house is safe at all times, so you might catch me monitoring the perimeter of the yard. Did I happen to mention I LOVE toys? Oh, those are just the best, especially the really chewy ones. It’s getting chilly in San Antonio! 🐶❄️ With temps dropping to 33°, and potentially lower, make sure your furry friends stay safe and warm. Here’s how:
🐾 Bring your pets indoors, especially at night.
🐾 Dress them in sweaters or jackets if they tolerate it.
🐾 Keep outdoor walks brief to prevent overexposure.
Are you helping any stray animals like Feral cats? 🐱 Here’s a few things you can do to help them stay warm:
🐾 Build DIY shelters using plastic bins and straw (not blankets).
🐾 Provide fresh, unfrozen water in insulated bowls.
🐾 Feed extra calories to help them stay warm.

After being saved from euthanasia, this girl has wasted no time enjoying her life! Chug-a-Lug enjoys going on her morning walks and finding all the best smells. 🍃🐶
She is great with kids and has tons of fun playing with our favorite six-year-old. After a good romp, she easily settles down into a lap or a cozy bed for a sweet snooze. 🛌🐾
And not to mention, she is always eager to show off her trademark underbite! Chug-a-Lug is almost fully grown at nine months old, and she already has mastered her manners. She is truly charm and class, wrapped up in the most adorable package. ✨🎀
