Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. Well, we certainly wouldnโt want to leave this sweet surfer behind! Nani caught a wave from Lytle, Texas to SNIPSA and quickly became a loving member of the family.ย Believed to be a Catahoula mix, she is one big love bug with pure white eyelashes and the softest ears ever. Confident, playful, expressive and curious, she enjoys the company of people and other dogs alike, and she even does well with cats and kids. Nani is getting the hang of playing fetch after only a day with her foster family. This breed is often praised for being excellent judges of character and loyal to their families. Given their active nature, they also appreciate a home with space to exercise or frequent walks. From day one, she has been a gentle social butterfly, following her foster mama everywhere and plunking down to keep her company.ย She doesnโt seem to have an aggressive bone in her body. She is potty trained and kennels perfectly, sleeping soundly through the night. So, donโt be a tourist and pass this kiddo by. Sheโs going to make some lucky person or family soooo happy! Gigi had the best weekend EVER! ๐๐ป๐ฆด
For those of you that donโt know this girl, Gigi has come a long way. When we first met her, she was suffering from a broken jaw due to unknown trauma. She was in pain, terrified and alone.
The good news is, Gigiโs injury was easily fixable. A wire was placed behind her canine and passed through her mandible to secure the fracture. ๐ท She is now eating soft food and recovering like a champ in foster care!
Over the past two weeks, Gigi has really started to flourish. She will nap on her pillow for hours then wander up for snuggles and treats. She gets along well with the other dogs in the home, too. ๐ท๐
Gigi is a shining example of how a little bit of love and patience can transform a dogโs life. Please consider adopting her or donating towards her surgery costs.
