Don’t worry! We don’t think any of these puppies would be a “pour” decision! We think they’re worth a shot! Meet Paloma, Brandy, Stoli, Patron, Tito and Skyy! These six cuties are as cute as they are tiny. This past weekend, Animal Care Services pleaded to their rescue partners to take in this litter of Chihuahuas, and it didn’t take long for our very own veterinary technician to step up as a foster. Within 30 minutes of ACS’ plea, she was in their parking lot, and within one hour, they were in her home as her new foster babies. Affectionately named after their licking habits, they were each assigned a clever “liquor” name. These tiny tots are cuddly, confident and CUTE! In a foster home where they are exposed to every animal species you could think of, they are getting ALL the socialization! From other dogs to cats, birds and even reptiles, these puppies have seen it all. Initially rescued off the streets by @sanantonioacs, these two were recently transferred to SNIPSA. They have been ravaged by nasty bugs — both on their skin and inside of their little bodies.
SNIPSA started them off with a dose of Bravecto to kill the sarcoptic mange mites, and a dewormer to flush out the internal parasites. 🚫🦟🪱 Over the next few weeks, they will also be receiving medicated baths and some much-needed love.

It is with a heart of sadness we say goodbye to our sweet Lady who finally lost her battle with a crummy form of cancer. 🥲 She lived a pampered and well-loved life while under SNIPSA’s wings and exceeded our expectations. We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to her team of foster warriors (Courtney, Patti, Stacey, Ashleigh & Jamie) that cared for her throughout her 11 months with us. And to the devoted medical staff with Animal Cancer Center, Dr. Meredith Esterline, and our amazing veterinary technician, Tami, who made herself available day or night for this precious rescue. It truly takes special heroes willing to take on a hospice dog knowing time is limited. You loved her well, we loved her well, and now our dearest Ladybug may rest in heaven. ✝️👼🪽🐾
