Hot diggity dog! Meet the new weenies in town: Smash Dog and Roadhouse Dog, lovingly named after our favorite orders at Sonic!

After a rescue from a hoarding situation and a brief stint at the Hondo Animal Control shelter, these two little dachshunds made the drive down country roads to Old San Antone. With ears flopping and tails wagging, the two young’uns came to our office with nothing but each other and big dreams of finding their forever homes.

Roadhouse Dog (or Roadie, if you’re one of his best buds) is a real sweetheart and a model big brother to his adoptive sister. As a Dachshund, Roadie is a playful and devoted doggie who adores attention. Despite his small size, he is best suited to an active lifestyle and a home with plenty of space to run down his battery each day. What he needs most, though, is a space where he can live out his days safely and comfortably, surrounded by lots of love.
