When Porter came into the SNIPSA program, he was a little on the shy side. However, after just a few weeks in foster care, he can’t help but wag his tail and ask for belly rubs from everyone he meets. This pup also has fast little legs despite being so close to the ground, and he will show off his zoomies at every opportunity!
Porter has certainly come a long way with his confidence since he was initially rescued in Hondo, Texas. He spends his days enjoying all the perks of domestic life and seeking out new friends to play with. All he needs is a forever human with whom he can share all of his newfound joys. Porter is perfectly potty-trained, crate-trained, and simply a pleasure to be around. Without question, he will make a great addition to your pack or an easy starter dog. The SNIPSA staff relies on our amazing fosters to give us a safe space while we start our journey to find our forever homes. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to learn what it’s like to be a well-behaved family dog! In your care, we’ll get to practice our manners, build our confidence, and know what it’s like to feel loved. 🥰

Yesterday, we spayed 31 cats for our Feral Community Cat program in partnership with @sanantonioacs! 🤝 If left unaltered, community cats can reproduce at an alarming rate. The average cat has 1-8 kittens per litter and 2-3 litters per year. This means that in one day, we prevented approximately 744 litters from being born this year! 🐾🚫
