She’s everybody’s non-pollutionary, anti-institutionary, pro-confectionery factory of fun! She’s Scrumdiddlyumptious! That’s right, we’ve got our hands on a legendary Wonka bar here at SNIPSA. Believe it or not, we didn’t get her from a factory. Wonka was found on the streets of Hondo, melting in this Texas heat. Luckily, someone grabbed her and brought her over to us for a second chance at life. And this girl is a tasty little tail wagger, let us tell ya! Wonka is a Labrador Retriever mix with energy out the wazoo. When she isn’t playing with her humans or her dog friends, she is entertaining herself with toys or crashing out for long snoozes. Play hard, nap hard–that’s how the phrase goes, right? Being just two months old, she is just old enough to start searching for an adopter that will love her forever and ever. Gigi had the best weekend EVER! 🎀🌻🦴
For those of you that don’t know this girl, Gigi has come a long way. When we first met her, she was suffering from a broken jaw due to unknown trauma. She was in pain, terrified and alone.
The good news is, Gigi’s injury was easily fixable. A wire was placed behind her canine and passed through her mandible to secure the fracture. 😷 She is now eating soft food and recovering like a champ in foster care!
Over the past two weeks, Gigi has really started to flourish. She will nap on her pillow for hours then wander up for snuggles and treats. She gets along well with the other dogs in the home, too. 🌷💛
Gigi is a shining example of how a little bit of love and patience can transform a dog’s life. Please consider adopting her or donating towards her surgery costs.
