Brought to SNIPSA through Animal Care Services’ community outreach program, these eight little buggers are set to make a smooth transition to rescue life. Meet Flik, Slim, Hopper, Francis, Rosie, Gypsy, Flora and Atta. Though we have no way of knowing the certainty of their breed, their stubby legs and wire hair point to the chance of Wire-haired Dachshund Mixes. Dachshunds are known for their affectionate nature and loyalty to their owners, so any of these pups are sure to be your #1 fan! At their young age, they are sure to adjust well in their future homes so long as they receive the proper time, training and patience that all puppies require. Gigi had the best weekend EVER! 🎀🌻🦴
For those of you that don’t know this girl, Gigi has come a long way. When we first met her, she was suffering from a broken jaw due to unknown trauma. She was in pain, terrified and alone.
The good news is, Gigi’s injury was easily fixable. A wire was placed behind her canine and passed through her mandible to secure the fracture. 😷 She is now eating soft food and recovering like a champ in foster care!
Over the past two weeks, Gigi has really started to flourish. She will nap on her pillow for hours then wander up for snuggles and treats. She gets along well with the other dogs in the home, too. 🌷💛
Gigi is a shining example of how a little bit of love and patience can transform a dog’s life. Please consider adopting her or donating towards her surgery costs.
