Down the hills and round the bends, Thomas and his friends! Thomas, he’s the cheeky one! You’ve definitely heard of Thomas the Train, but have you met SNIPSA’s Thomas the Tank? Surrendered by his former owner, due to medical complications, it was through no fault of his own that Tank wound up in a rescue. This handsome boy is nothing but a big pile of fluff and love. He is wonderful with children and other pets, so he would make a great addition to almost any family. As long as you are not a vacuum, he is happy to be by your side. Tank might be huge, but he truly is a gentle giant. He is the happiest when close to you as you complete chores or watch TV. As a Great Pyrenees, Tank is loyal, affectionate and well-mannered. At already three and a half years, Tank still values his toys and he is sure to swing his ropes around or flaunt his tennis balls to grab your attention for playtime. Due to his size and nature, Tank would benefit from a yard with plenty of space for him to patrol. Tank does not get on the furniture and is quite content sleeping on the floor next to your bed or against the couch. He also isn’t a fan of puffy beds and instead prefers thinner ones. Initially rescued off the streets by @sanantonioacs, these two were recently transferred to SNIPSA. They have been ravaged by nasty bugs — both on their skin and inside of their little bodies.
SNIPSA started them off with a dose of Bravecto to kill the sarcoptic mange mites, and a dewormer to flush out the internal parasites. 🚫🦟🪱 Over the next few weeks, they will also be receiving medicated baths and some much-needed love.

It is with a heart of sadness we say goodbye to our sweet Lady who finally lost her battle with a crummy form of cancer. 🥲 She lived a pampered and well-loved life while under SNIPSA’s wings and exceeded our expectations. We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to her team of foster warriors (Courtney, Patti, Stacey, Ashleigh & Jamie) that cared for her throughout her 11 months with us. And to the devoted medical staff with Animal Cancer Center, Dr. Meredith Esterline, and our amazing veterinary technician, Tami, who made herself available day or night for this precious rescue. It truly takes special heroes willing to take on a hospice dog knowing time is limited. You loved her well, we loved her well, and now our dearest Ladybug may rest in heaven. ✝️👼🪽🐾
