Enjoy your breakfast, but save some room for a lilβ rescue love! On Saturday, May 4th, SNIPSA is rising bright and early for an adoption event at Snooze. If youβre looking to plate up a new family member, you wonβt want to miss out on our piping-hot pups and sunny side-up kitties. So, wake up and come on down for a little more than just coffee!
Fiesta With a New Bestie
Your casa just isn't the same without a lovable cat or dog. All of the animals in our program have been offered a second chance through rescue and rehabilitation, and they are patiently waiting to meet you. All you have to do is browse through our adoptable pets and apply for the special sweetie that catches your eye!
***Our adoption fee includes a veterinary exam, microchip, spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, dewormers, fecal, heartworm test (dog) Felv/FIV test (cat) monthly preventatives, and a complimentary bag of Science Diet. We also manage non-routine illness to include broken bones, skin disease, and treat countless dogs for heartworms. Our goal is to provide optimal care to ensure your pet is ready and healthy for its new home.***

Second Thursday at the McNay is back and better than ever! You just canβt go wrong with live performances, DIY crafts, food trucks, handcrafted margaritas and SNIPSAβs adoptable rescues. Sprawl out on the grassy lawn and enjoy the outdoor festivities, or take advantage of free admission to the main gallery until 9 p.m. Just donβt forget to stop by the SNIPSA tent to take a peek at our precious puppies!

Pet of the Week
Scout
Are you looking for a pup who dances everywhere he goes? A pup with the dreamiest curls? A pup with a personality to charm the masses? Well, weβve got our very own Napoleon Dynamite in the building. Meet Scout! Just like Napoleon, Scout can be a little shy on the approach, but he was born to be in the spotlight. He loves attention, walks, treats andβmore than anythingβhis people! In his foster home, Scout hasnβt wasted any time bonding with his foster family. He is a perfect shadow, following his foster mom everywhere she goes with enthusiasm. This little busybody also enjoys his βwalkiesβ where he can feel the grass on his paws. Not to mention, heβs perfectly house-trained, which makes that outside time extra special!
One thing to note about Scout is that he is thought to have been hit by a car at some point in his life, resulting in a luxated hip. He underwent a femoral head ostectomy to repair it, resulting in a slightly higher adoption fee. While Scout has been through a lot in his two years, he has a happy and healthy future just ahead. He recently made his debut at the King William Parade where he stole more than just a few hearts. So, if you saw this scruffy guy at Fiesta, take the pawty home with you! Apply to adopt Scout today!
