Muriel
Miracles do happen... and that was definitely the case for this sweet dog. Despite having uncertain beginnings, Muriel has struck gold with her new forever family.
In August of 2023, SNIPSA received a notification about a senior dog, Muriel, who had been found roaming the streets with a “SNIPSA chip.” This microchip had been implanted at one of our Big Fix clinics almost a decade ago, but sadly, Muriel’s prior owner never attached their information to it. When Muriel was picked up and scheduled for euthanasia, we couldn’t just leave her on death row. She deserved a second chance, and we were going to give her just that!
Muriel arrived to us thin, covered in fleas, and missing a ton of hair. Fast forward to two months in foster care, and this gal was sporting a new fur coat and a spring in her step. She then caught the eye of the Rice family who had adopted 7 dogs from SNIPSA throughout the years despite living several hundred miles away. When one of their dogs, Stella, passed away, they decided to adopt a senior dog in her honor.
So, off Muriel went to start a new life in Houston!
Muriel now lives with her devoted parents and a set of enthusiastic twins. She has mastered the doggie door, takes siestas under the trampoline, goes for outings in the golf cart, and relishes all the new attention. There is no doubt that Muriel is living her new life to the fullest.
